Today Joe is the most famous plumber in the world. You could say the worker and business owner has plunged into fame.
Joe Wurzelbacher is the Ohio plumber who “starred” in the final presidential debate between Sen. John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama. His name was brought up more than 20 times by the two presidential candidates.
Joe, a McCain supporter who met Obama on the campaign trail, would be better served by the GOP candidate’s tax plan than Obama, who currently leads in most polls by eight percentage points or more. Obama counters that while Joe will pay more under his tax plan, he’s giving small business owners a leg up who haven’t reach the level of success of Joe’s company.
Joe says he doesn’t mind the free publicity he’s brought his business – and considering that he’s been on every big news show since the debate – there is a good chance Joe will be looking to fill some part time jobs in the Toledo area soon.
In a campaign that gets dirtier by the day, it only makes sense that a plumber makes the headlines.
